CS Attendant

Campstore Attendant

Part-Time

(Approx. 10-20 hrs/week)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

•No experience necessary to apply, entry level position. Preferred experience in retail or with recreation or hospitality industry.

•Ability to multi-task and work efficiently to complete task.

•Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, including with small children and adolescents.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

•Staffs the campground store and manages the check-in station

•Inventories, stores, prices, and restocks merchandise displays in the retail store. Takes inventory of merchandise to identify items to be reordered or replenished.

•Receives, opens, and unpacks cartons or crates of merchandise, checking invoice against items received. Stamps, attaches, or changes price tags on merchandise referring to price list.

•Stocks storage areas and displays with new or transferred merchandise. Sets up advertising signs and displays merchandise on shelves, counters, or tables to attract customers and promote sales.

•Cleans displays, shelves, and aisles

•Operate POS system to total customer merchandise and take payments through charge cards or cash, including making change. Bag customer purchases.

•Other duties as assigned

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

•Duties are performed in a retail store environment with standing for long periods of time, utilizing standard retail equipment and computer programs. The work includes lifting boxes of merchandise, supplies and materials weighing as much as 50 pounds, regularly. The work includes a great deal of reaching, movement of arms, walking around, standing, getting up and down to retrieve materials. The work involves use of a keyboard to operate POS.

 

•The position requires the ability to read information on printed forms or document. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

 

•This is often a fast-paced environment to keep up with customer demand. Employees must be able to remain calm, collected, and organized while serving customers and performing work duties.

Groundskeeper

Groundskeeper

Part-Time

(Approx. 20-30 hrs/week)

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

•Prepare and maintain landscape areas; sweep and clean public areas and facilities.  

•Perform preventive maintenance and repair work on equipment, vehicles, and facilities; assist with other maintenance work as assigned including painting, building, and pouring concrete.

•Overseeing campsite turnover procedure and maintain guest camping spaces. Assist guests with various task related to the camping experience.  

•Maintain picnic, play and activity areas.

•Maintain and care for trees, flower beds and vegetation in the campground.

•Operate and maintain a variety of grounds maintenance equipment and tools including, truck, rototiller, sod cutter, jack hammer, pruner, clipper, small hand, and power tools.

•Split and prepare firewood bundles.

•Perform related duties as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

•Work in an outdoor setting under all weather conditions to perform grounds maintenance work in the preparation and maintenance of recreation areas, trees, shrubs, and hedges. The position requires the employee to be able to move around irregular surfaces which have no smooth pathways and to climb up and down structures, ladders, or steps.

•Work with and around power equipment ranging from mowers and edge trimmers to saws and drills as well as hand tools.

•Handle and use specialized chemicals to control and eradicate weeds, insects, and other pests.

•Perform heavy manual labor which will require continuous heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling heavy loads or objects. The work environment will require standing almost the entire work shift, as well as bending over to perform maintenance work, reaching with both arms, and lifting with legs.

•Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others, and complete tasks without close supervision.

•The noise level of the work environment may be quite loud as the result of the operation of power tools or equipment.

•Utilize herbicides, pesticides, and other sprays in a safe and effective manner.

•The employee must be able to lift and/or move equipment, and supplies weighing up to 150 pounds or more.  

•Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

•There will be frequent occasions in which the employee will be required to wear safety equipment such as steel-toed shoes, masks, goggles, ear protection or respirators.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

•No experience necessary to apply, entry level position.

•Any equivalent to one year experience in maintaining green spaces, performing basic repairs, and operating related equipment preferred.

• Ability to interact with guests in a positive and professional manner.

•Capable of problem-solving safely and effectively. 

Housekeepers

Housekeeper

Part-Time

(Approx. 10-20 hrs/week)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

•No experience necessary to apply, entry level position. Preferred experience with housekeeping and knowledge of sanitation requirements.

•Ability to multi-task and work efficiently to complete task.

•Ability to communicate effectively with a team and follow direction.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

•Cleans rooms, including bathrooms, and public areas by vacuuming, wiping, mopping, sweeping, and dusting surfaces. Move and arrange furniture and equipment to clean through a room or area.

•Performs regular, periodic, and as needed cleaning of areas and objects such as rugs, curtains, shelves, displays, blinds, windows, storage areas, phones, and other objects.

•Maintain and launder towels, bed linen and other washable objects.

•Follows approved housekeeping and safety practices to ensure that safe conditions are maintained in the campground’s public areas and rooms.

•Perform other tasks or duties as directed and assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

•The duties performed by this individual will take place in a setting which will contain sinks, toilets, showers and baths, small refrigerators, and electronic equipment. The area may be hot or cold, humid and may have slippery surfaces.  

•The noise level of the work environment will be moderate-to-high.  

•The employees will be required to stand for almost the entire shift, move rapidly from one area to be cleaned to another, carry heavy cleaning equipment with them, place their hands in wash water, and operate machinery which requires strength. The work involves repetitive motion.  

•The employee will be exposed to heat, odors, and allergens. Cleaning supplies may have associated odors and fumes.  

•The employee must be able to lift and/or move equipment, and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds or more.  

•Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.  

•The employee must wear clothing which are suitable to maintain sanitation, including protective gloves.

Eq Handler

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

•No experience necessary to apply, entry level position.

•Ability to multi-task and work efficiently to complete task.

•Ability to communicate effectively with a team and follow direction.

•Ability to maintain an organized environment and keep basic records.

Equipment Handler

Part-Time

(Approx. 8-15 hrs/week)

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

•Responsibly storing, stacking, and preparing rental equipment.

•Inspecting equipment for quality and safety before distributing to guests.

•Accurately loading shuttle vans as indicated on rental ticket and securing load properly to avoid equipment damage or malfunction.

•Assisting guests as they disembark river excursions, track that proper quantity of equipment is returned.

•Clean and inspect all returned equipment before returning to proper storage area to be reused.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

•Perform heavy manual labor which will require continuous heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling heavy objects. The work environment will require standing almost the entire work shift, as well as bending over to perform work, reaching with both arms above the head, and lifting with legs.

•Lift objects weighing up to 150 pounds, continuous lifting of up to 80 pounds.

•Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others, and complete tasks without close supervision.

•Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

•Work in an outdoor setting under all weather conditions. The position requires the employee to be able to move around irregular surfaces which have no smooth pathways and to climb up and down structures, ladders, or steps.

•Position requires employee to stand in water from ankle up-to waist height to assist in disembarking and equipment cleaning. 

Shuttle Driver

Shuttle Driver

Part-Time

(Approx. 10 hrs/week or less)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

•No experience necessary to apply, entry level position.

•Applicants must be over the age of 21 and possess a valid United States driver’s license.

•All shuttle drivers must pass a criminal background check and be accepted by Resort insurance provider to operate a company vehicle.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

•Drive a Log Cabin shuttle vehicle to deliver customers to and from their scheduled destinations, while promoting a friendly environment by explaining river facts and laws, generating small talk, and visiting with customers before they embark.

•Inspect each equipment load for accuracy and safety, load shuttle group and their belongings into vehicle.

•Engage actively with customers, maintain, and promote the Log Cabin mission of providing outstanding guest experiences and answer questions or concerns effectively.

•Unload equipment at landing locations and assist guests as needed to launch safely.

•Assist in excursion disembarking by processing equipment as needed.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

•Perform manual labor which will require heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling heavy objects. The work environment will require repetitive standing and sitting almost the entire work shift, as well as bending over to perform work, reaching with both arms above the head, and lifting with legs.

•Majority of shift is typically spent driving round-trip to short distance locations. Employee should be able to spend multiple hours inside a vehicle, and able to follow all local, state, and federal driving regulations.

•Lift objects weighing up to 150 pounds, continuous lifting of up to 80 pounds.

•Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others, and complete tasks without close supervision.

•Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

•Work in an outdoor setting under all weather conditions. The position requires the employee to be able to move around irregular surfaces which have no smooth pathways and to climb up and down structures, ladders, or steps.
